Sometimes recipes call for something called self-rising flour. If you're not an avid baker, or don't tend to keep a store full of ingredients on-hand at all times, you can actually just make some up really easily. Here's how to make one cup of self rising flour:
Grab your one cup measure and add:
- 1½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Fill to top with unbleached all purpose flour
Easy peasy right?!
