How to make Self-Rising Flour / by Linda Klimack


Sometimes recipes call for something called self-rising flour. If you're not an avid baker, or don't tend to keep a store full of ingredients on-hand at all times, you can actually just make some up really easily. Here's how to make one cup of self rising flour:

Grab your one cup measure and add:

  • 1½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Fill to top with unbleached all purpose flour

Easy peasy right?!
