Now is the time to try one of the new Manitoba Roasters, and if you have questions about some of the new local roasters, just ask for Christian, he can explain.
Scoop N’ Weigh, the Candy Store for Grownups!
P.S. If you are planning to make a treat for Halloween, we have a variety of cake decorations to make it a little easier. We have traditional sprinkles, in bulk or in shake containers.
And lots of eyes. Eyes are the hardest thing to make, and as in life, eyes convey everything! I made these Healthy Haystacks and dressed them up for Halloween.
P.P.S. Tired of ugly, bulky oven mitts? The latest thing is Oven Gloves!
There are two styles to choose from. Both are made of a comfortable stretchy fabric and can withstand heat of 500F for one style and 650F for the other; more than enough to remove something from the oven. One style has a medium and large size and has grippy snowflakes like children have on the feet of their pajamas. You will know what I mean when you see them.
I used a pair of these at a friend’s house and while they are weird to put on and I didn’t know if I trusted them at first, they did the job as I removed a baking pan from the oven.
I think they would be great to grab something messy because both styles are machine washable, one in the washing machine and the other in the dishwasher.
They will also be great on the BBQ for holding tongs and forks and not searing your hands.
P.P.P.S. Of course we still have traditional oven mitts – even purple ones!
